Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa on Friday assented to the 2023 Budget of N175 billion into law after the passage of the Appropriation Bill by the State House of Assembly.

Fintiri had on Nov. 25, presented the appropriation bill for 2023 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly for consideration.

The Budget has N105 billion, representing 60 per cent as Recurrent Expenditure and over N70 billion, representing 40 per cent as Capital Expenditure.

According to Fintiri, the budget, tagged Budget of Consolidation, will ensure completion of all ongoing projects started by his administration and the construction of a Super Highway from FGGC Yola to Yola-Town through Yolde-Pate.

Fintiri said  government would establish and construct three Mega Secondary Schools, one in each of the senatorial districts, to serve as special schools for the most talented of Adamawa students.

He added that the government would also establish High-tech Vocational Training Centres to serve as Information Technology Skill Incubation Hub for the development of youths in the state, among other key projects.

NAN also reports that the event was attended by Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Pwamakeino Mackondo.

Others were Chairman and members of House Standing Committee on Finance, Appropriation and Budget, and Chief of Staff, Government House Yola, Prof Maxwell Gidado.
