The presidential Spokesperson, Garba Shehu, has stated that law enforcement agencies will crack down on any acts of voter intimidation and violence during the election, despite the desperation of some governors to win the March 18 governorship elections.
On Thursday’s Morning Show of Arise News, Shehu made the statement.

He claimed that despite growing concerns over allegations that governors in Rivers, Edo, Enugu, Kano, and other states planned to rig the election, Nigerians’ will would ultimately prevail because law enforcement organizations would make sure that governors did not have a divine influence over the results.
These governors aren’t divine beings. Before now, it was thought that you had the right to continue on to the senate after serving your term as governor.
But several of them have lost their bids for the Senate because, in the end, it is the will of the people that matters, Shehu said.
He argued that the president, Muhammadu Buhari is “above conspiracy” in the results of the elections on February 25, which many Nigerians claimed were skewed in the direction of the ruling APC.
