The Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has directed a public advisory to all individuals, groups, and organizations to stop ongoing construction in public places immediately.

This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor-elect, Mr. Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.

“You are advised to discontinue any construction work on public land within and around all schools in the state, religious and cultural sites, hospitals, graveyards, and along the city walls of Kano.

“The statement also advised the public to discontinue the demolition and construction of all existing public buildings belonging to the state government.”

“This advisory is issued in the public interest and is effective from today, March 30th, 2023, until further notice.

“Any contravener does so at his or her own risk,” the statement cautioned.
