The Police on Tuesday arraigned a 26-year-old man, Sheu Abubakar, before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court over alleged stealing.
The defendant of no fixed address is standing trial on a charge of stealing.

The police prosecutor, Insp Sodiq Adeniyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 8 at about 06:00 a.m at NTA road in Ado-Ekiti.
Adeniyi alleged that the defendant stole four iron diggers, one towing chain and one iron sledge hammer, valued at N70,000 belonging to Lateet Kamal Enterprise.
He said the offence contravened Section 302(1) (a) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
The prosecutor asked the court for an adjournment to enable him to study the case file and assemble his witnesses.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.
Counsel to the defendant, Mr Tunmise Akinwunmi, urged the court to grant his client bail with a promise that he would not jump bail.
The Magistrate, Dolapo Babalogbon, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 17 for hearing.
