Nigerians on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, on Wednesday, narrated how they had fallen victim to the alarming rate of ‘one-chance’ robbery incidents in Lagos State.
They were reacting to a lady who shared the story of how her sister was robbed on Wednesday morning while going to work.

The Twitter user, with the handle @Seyifunmii__, wrote, ” We got a call around 6am saying my sister entered One chance and has been dropped at Ikeja. Seeing my sister right now is devastating. She was badly beaten and was almost shot at. This is too much. Everything was taken from her, everything.”
Speaking further, she said, “The private hospital referred us to general hospital because of the eyes. So we’re at general hospital right now after getting first aid at the private hospital.”
Reacting to her ordeal, A human rights lawyer, Dr Ayo Sogunro, said, “This happened to my sister and her colleague last week as they left their VI office. They entered a “one-chance” bus, got robbed, beaten, and thrown out.
“So many levels of insecurity in Nigeria and nobody is safe. The question is: what is the govt and @PoliceNG doing about it?”.
VictorUmeadi also shared his story. According to him, “It happen to my woman last week too, around Ikeja along on her way to work..they took her two laptop, phone, atm card and pin. They Rob her painful substance in the eye”.
KafWinni, another Twitter user said such happened to a friend of his last night around Victoria Island.
