Management of Rangers International FC of Enugu has given it’s players and the technical team a three-week break as the season came to an end with the Federation cup final in Asaba.

The is contained in a statement from the club Media Officer Norbert Okolie in Enugu on Friday which said that the club’s Administrative Secretary, Ferdinand Ugwuarua, disclosed this on Thursday.

He said Ugwuarua made the announcement while addressing the players, coaches and other back-room staff at the players’ camp, Independence Layout, Enugu, on Thursday.

Okolie quoted Ugwuarua to have thanked them for the various roles they played in the just-ended season that saw the team get as far as the final of a national competition.

According to the Secretary, the camp of the players will be closed on Friday for renovation works to be re-opened on July 14, 2023.

Ugwuarua said that players with running contracts are expected back in camp on July while training sessions for the 2023/2024 season will start on July 17.

“I wish to thank you all for your efforts in the just-ended season that saw us play in the final of a national competition which we narrowly lost and for maintaining our status in the premiership.

“As the season comes to a close, management wishes all that will be travelling to their various destinations a safe trip.

“Those expected back when the new season commences are urged to double their efforts for a better season,”Ugwuarua said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season starts in August.
