Engr. Ibrahim Jani, the National Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has emerged as the consensus candidate for the position of 2nd Deputy National President of the association.
Engr. Jani was unanimously nominated by the Coalition of Northern States Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, And Agriculture (CONSCCIMA), at a Council Meeting, held in Dutse, Jigawa State on Tuesday.
In a statement by Chief Dr.H.O. Aďedeji, President CONSCCIMA, made available to newsmen on Wednesday, the meeting, which he described as unprecedented, was attended by the Jigawa state governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

The statement said Engr. Jani was the most senior National Vice President of NACCIMA, hence the reason for the unanimous decision to nominate him for the position.
Ad’edeji said in his acceptance speech, Engr. Jani Ibrahim promised to dedicate his energy to move NACCIMA to a higher pedestal, aimed at achieving the association’s goals of revamping the economy of the country.
Ad’edeji, in the statement, disclosed that the meeting had also set up a high-powered committee to produce a comprehensive blueprint to revamp the economy of Northern Nigeria.
The President of Consccima Dr. H. O. Adediji, while thanking all the members of CONSCCIMA, charged them to rededicate themselves to the progress of the association.
He also expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Ahmad Rabiu, National Vice President, NACCIMA, “for the maturity exhibited and support for the unity of CONSCCIMA.”
The marathon meeting was also attended by the Patron of NACCIMA, Engr. Mohammed Rufai.
