A fire outbreak early Tuesday morning has destroyed a departmental building at the School of Technology, Kano State Polytechnic.

The fire engulfed the entire Arts and Industrial Department of the polytechnic, according to a report by Daily Trust.

The spokesperson for the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, confirmed the incident but did not specify the cause of the fire.

Abdullahi stated that the details of the losses could not be immediately determined as an investigation is ongoing.

He assured the public that more updates would be provided in due course.
