The Kano Police reiterates importance of the decision, noting, “The Kano State Government is committed to prioritizing public safety and security above all considerations. All residents must respect the ban on Durbar activities during the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir.”

The police commended the government’s decision and urged residents to respect the ban: “All law-abiding people of the State are urged to continue to cooperate with the Police and alongside other relevant security agencies.”

They assured the public of adequate security measures: “Adequate security deployments have been concluded to ensure low-key hitch-free festive Eid-El-Kabir celebrations during this trying period.”

The statement also included a warning against disruptions: “Joint security agencies will remain steadfast and resolute in maintaining law and order. Any attempt to disrupt the peace being enjoyed in the State will result in arrest and prosecution.”

The police thanked the public and traditional institutions for their cooperation: “The Kano State Police Command appreciates and thanks the Kano State Government as well as all the law-abiding residents of the State for their support, understanding, and cooperation.”
