The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thunderstorms and rains across various parts of the country from Monday to Wednesday.
The weather outlook, released on Sunday in Abuja, anticipates significant weather events in different regions.

Monday’s Forecast
Morning thunderstorms are expected over parts of Kebbi, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Taraba, and Kaduna states.
Later in the day, thunderstorms will likely occur in Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Yobe, and Jigawa states.
In the North Central region, rains are forecast for the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, and Niger states in the morning, with thunderstorms expected later in Plateau, Nasarawa, Kogi, and Benue states.
Morning rains are anticipated in Lagos, Ondo, Ebonyi, Edo, Imo, Abia, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River, followed by thunderstorms and intermittent rains in the afternoon.
Tuesday’s Forecast
Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the northern region in the morning, with afternoon/evening thunderstorms in Gombe, Bauchi, Borno, Jigawa, Yobe, Taraba, Adamawa, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kano, and Kaduna.
The North Central region will experience cloudy conditions in the morning and thunderstorms later in the day in the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Kogi, Plateau, Niger, and Benue states.
Morning rains are predicted for Enugu, Abia, Imo, Edo, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River, with afternoon/evening thunderstorms and intermittent rains.
Wednesday’s Forecast
Morning thunderstorms are expected in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, and Zamfara states.
Later in the day, thunderstorms are likely in Jigawa, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, and Borno states.
The North Central region will have a partly cloudy morning with thunderstorms expected later in the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, and Nasarawa states.
The southern region will experience a cloudy morning, followed by thunderstorms and intermittent rains in the afternoon/evening.
NiMet has advised the public to take precautions as strong winds may precede the rains, particularly in areas prone to thunderstorms.
Airline operators are also advised to obtain updated weather reports and forecasts from NiMet for effective operational planning.
