The Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP) has advised the Jigawa state government on effective project management, emphasizing the importance of a quality management system for optimal results.
“Donors have guidelines to monitor their funds, and they rely largely on operational efficiency of the Project Management Unit to monitor their funds,” said Malam Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, State Project Coordinator, KSADP.
Malam Ibrahim cautioned against combining the roles of Managing Director of JARDA and State Coordinator of the Jigawa Integrated and Rural Development Project, citing potential operational challenges.

“We are impressed with the reception and will report to the governor,” said Danzomo. “We want to replicate your success in Jigawa.”
The Managing Director of JARDA and State Coordinator of the Jigawa Integrated and Rural Development Project, Malam Imam Muhammad, emphasized the need to study the KSADP model to ensure success.
“The Islamic Development Bank asked us to come and learn from you,” he said. “We are paying attention to procurement, monitoring and evaluation, and finance to ensure we’re on the right track.”
