Police operatives from the Keffi Division have apprehended Hauwa Sani, a female, along with a 2-year-old child from Doro village, Katsina State.
DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for Nasarawa Command, disclosed the details in a statement.
According to Nansel, the arrest led to the recovery of “one hundred and twenty-four (124) rounds of Anti Aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil,” “one Tecno mobile phone,” and a cash sum of “Seventy-eight thousand and five hundred Naira (#78,500).” These items were confiscated from the suspect as evidence.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect had received the ammunition supply in Rafin Sanyi village, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
She had concealed the items in the gallon of palm oil while traveling to Katsina State before being apprehended.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has directed that the suspect and the seized evidence be transferred to the Force Intelligence Department at Force Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation and has commended the officers for their excellent work.
