The immediate past President of Kano Old Science Schools Students Association (KASSOSA) National Body, Mal. Mustapha Nuhu Wali (mni) has charged youths to take full ownership of KASSOSA, stating the roles played by the association as significantly important.
“It is pertinent that we work together as a team for this common goal of positively transforming KASSOSA”, he said.
Wali made the statement while receiving an award of excellence during the 2021 AGM of KASSOSA BUK Chapter in Kano.
We’re proud of our unity – KASSOSA President
The former President who was represented by Malam Aminu Gidado, further expressed happiness as how rapidly the BUK Chapter of KASSOSA has grown. This, he said was no doubt the results of the hardwork exercised by the leadership of the chapter from its conception to date.
He further said there is no gain saying that BUK Chapter is blessed with diverse professional endowment (Doctors, Engineers and Scientists) to serve our dear state but this has been relegated to the background due to years of neglect of the chapter.
“God so kind, in 2017 the chapter became alive and vibrant with its leaders Bashir S. Hussain, Aminu Ahmad Muhammad and now Muhammad Sulaiman Bataiya who have been working tirelessly to uplift the calibre of the chapter”.
Calling on other chapters to emulate, he tasked the new Excos to identify, unite and assist more KASSOSITES in the University campus so as to have a broad spread of the concept of KASSOSA and to serve humanity.
Also speaking, the Chairman BUK Chapter Muhammad Sulaiman Bataiya, described the stewardship of Mal. Mustapha Nuhu Wali mni as the President of KASSOSA in the last three years as quite eventful, despite the great challenge of COVID-19 that took away almost seven months of his operation, he was able to conduct various programs and activities in line with cardinal objectives of our great association.
“During his tenure, the journey has been quite challenging and the task daunting, but with the help of almighty God, alot has been achieved”.
Muhammad further thanked Malam Mustapha Nuhu Wali for being the sponsor of so many events since 2017 and for his fatherly advices, tireless efforts and provision of supplemental support not only to BUK KASSOSA Chapter alone, but to whole institutional and class chapters.
Wali also registered his appreciation to the women chapters and the youths who contributed alot in keeping the association vibrant and eventful, while assuring his commitment not only towards uplifting but providing support for the enhancement of the cardinal objectives of KASSOSA.
He commend the chapter for another giant stride yet achieved in the series of their activities being conducted.
Malam Mustapha also cautioned members on unity, said “in taking KASSOSA to greater heights, we should know that none of us is stronger than all of us”.
Conclusively, Wali has extended his most sincere condolences to KASSOSA leadership over the demise of Brigadier General Kuliya (Who is KASSOSA member Class 86 Dawakin Kudu), who passed away alongside the COAS and other Nigerian Army Senior officers.
He prayed Allah (S.W.T) grant them eternal rest, comfort their souls and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.
He also commiserate with the Executive Secretary Science and Technical Schools Board Malam Ahmad Tijjani, over the fire incident that happened recently in Sani Bello Science College Dawakin Kudu.
