The Sadiq Aminu Wali faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has formally rejected the ward congresses conducted today. The faction claims the congresses lacked โ€œtransparency, inclusiveness, and fairness.โ€

In their statement, the faction expressed concern over the deliberate exclusion of key stakeholders and legitimate party members leading up to the congresses.

They highlighted several irregularities observed during the process, arguing that these issues contravened the democratic principles of the PDP.

Sadiq Aminu Wali, leader of the faction, expressed his dismay over the procedural failings and violations of the partyโ€™s guidelines. He noted that despite repeated efforts to engage with party officials to resolve issues before the congresses, their concerns were โ€œdisregarded,โ€ leading to todayโ€™s flawed process.

The faction is calling on the PDPโ€™s national leadership to โ€œswiftly intervene and take necessary steps to address the anomaliesโ€ and preserve the partyโ€™s unity and integrity.

They emphasized the importance of resolving these issues as critical elections approach in Kano State.

The Sadiq Aminu Wali faction remains committed to upholding the principles of democracy, rule of law, and justice, and urges supporters to remain calm while seeking redress through appropriate party channels. They reaffirm their loyalty to the PDP and its ideals, with a focus on building a stronger, more unified party in Kano State.
