At least 11 people have been confirmed dead following a tragic accident on the Kano-Zaria Road in Kura Local Government Area of Kano State.
Daily News 24 reports that the incident occurred when a heavy-duty truck, reportedly belonging to a construction company, lost control and crashed into a tricycle. All four passengers in the tricycle were killed instantly.

Several pedestrians walking along the highway were also struck and fatally injured as the truck veered off the road.
Eyewitnesses at the scene described the horrific moments as the out-of-control truck ran through the tricycle before plowing into people walking on the pavement.
Local authorities, including the Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, are yet to issue an official statement regarding the accident. However, witnesses report that police officers and individuals from the area were involved in the rescue operations.
The cause of the accident remains unknown, but investigations have since commenced.
