The Kaduna state independent Electoral commission (KADSIECOM) has announced Saturday, 14th August as new date for local Government election in the state.
This is prior to the 5th June earlier scheduled for the poll.
Acting chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Sambo made the announcement of the new date on Wednesday in a meeting with political parties and other stakeholders held at the commission’s head office.
The commission explained that it rescheduled the election date due to non arrival of imported items meant for the polls.
The election now fixed for Saturday, 14th August is between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm, it said.
