Billionaire CEO Elon Musk has launched a new initiative aimed at protecting free speech and the right to bear arms.

Through the program, Musk is offering $47 to registered U.S. voters who successfully refer others to sign a petition promoting these constitutional rights.

The initiative, which targets voters in key swing states, is designed to maximise political influence in the upcoming elections. Musk made the announcement on Sunday via his social media platform, X, saying, โ€œFor every person you refer who is a swing state voter, you get $47! Easy money.โ€

The petition is being hosted on the website of Muskโ€™s America PAC, a political action committee formed to support former President Donald Trumpโ€™s 2024 presidential bid. Backed by several tech entrepreneurs, the PACโ€™s goal is to gather 1 million signatures from voters in battleground states.

The petition highlights the importance of safeguarding the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. The First Amendment protects freedoms related to speech, religion, the press, and assembly, while the Second Amendment secures the right to bear arms.

Musk recently took the stage at a Donald Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he expressed his support for Trumpโ€™s campaign. During the rally, he warned that this could be โ€œthe last electionโ€ if Trump does not win, claiming that Democrats are allegedly working to limit Americansโ€™ rights, including free speech and gun ownership.

In a follow-up post, Musk reiterated the importance of the petition, saying, โ€œSign our petition to support the Constitution! Also earn $47 for every person you refer to sign the petition if theyโ€™re in a swing state. Goal is to get 1M voters in swing states to show support for free speech & right to bear arms.โ€
