A Kano Upper Shari’a Court sitting in Shahuci has directed the state commissioner of police to arrest one Magaji Mai Hula for his refusal to comply with a court order.

The court had previously instructed Mai Hula to provide for the feeding of his child after he was sued by his former wife. Despite the court’s ruling, Mai Hula failed to follow the order and did not appeal the decision in any other court.
Khadi Abdul Abdullahi Waya, who presided over the case, revealed that Mai Hula had been summoned twice but refused to appear before the court. In a shocking turn, he allegedly threatened the court messenger with a gun when approached.
The court has now ordered for Mai Hula’s arrest to enforce the judgement.
Shari’a Court bans man from ex-wife’s bedroom
Recall Daily New 24 reported how a Shari’a court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna state, ordered Aminu Adamu not to enter his former wife’s bedroom to see his children.
The ruling was made after the court confirmed the three divorce pronouncements made by Adamu to his former wife, Jamila Sani.
The judge, Malam Anas Khalifa, stated, “There is no marriage between you and her because of the divorce pronouncement. You must refrain from meeting with her in private. If you must see your children, see them outside her room.”
In addition to the ruling, the judge ordered Adamu to continue providing for his children’s basic needs, including feeding, school fees, shelter, and health.
The complainant, Sani, had earlier asked the court to confirm the divorce and grant her custody of their children.
In response, Adamu promised to provide N15,000 weekly as a feeding allowance for the children.
