Social media personality VeryDarkMan has confirmed that renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, is the anonymous benefactor behind a N100 million donation to his newly launched Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

The NGO, according to VeryDarkMan, aims to focus on community development and the improvement of public schools. His initial announcement, made through a video on his Instagram account, raised concerns about the large deposit, prompting him to call for an investigation by Zenith Bank.

โ€œ@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I donโ€™t know what is going on, hope Iโ€™m not being set upโ€ฆ I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I donโ€™t know whatโ€™s up with the account,โ€ VeryDarkMan posted.

However, in a follow-up video on Thursday, the social media figure confirmed that Don Jazzy had reached out to inform him that he was responsible for the generous contribution.

He explained, โ€œGuys, yesterday I posted that I received N100m in my account. I did not receive an alert. I just saw that the money had increased from N70m to N170m plus.

โ€œI panicked because I didnโ€™t expect anybody to just send me N100m like that, so I thought it was a glitch or maybe someone wanted to set me up, because people had been sending N50, N100, N200, N500 and so on, and itโ€™s understandable for me to panic.โ€

After reaching out to everyone he knew in an attempt to identify the source of the funds, he eventually received a message from Don Jazzy, revealing the true origin of the donation.
