A staunch Peoples’ Democratic Party member (PDP) in Kebbi state Hajia Rukkaya Sani Yauri has described the six years of President Muhammadu Buhari as wasteful and masses unfriendly.
Rukkay who spoke in her residence in Birnin Kebbi said Nigerians who came out en masse in 2015 to ensure the ruling party then PDP is dethroned due to what they perceived as poor governance and its inability to properly secure the nation are now bitting their fingers in regrets.
According to her Buhari told his followers that, if elected he will revert the petrol pump price from 67 Naira per litre to 50 Naira but soon after his election he made several attempts to remove fuel subsidy.
She stated that after failing to remove subsidy the president thrice jerked up the pump price forcing galloping inflation at the expense of poor masses who threw their weights behind to clinch power.
Speaking further she said Buhari only succeeded in inflicting untold hardship through harsh policies which include prolonged unsuccessful border closer, vat increase which aggravated poverty level, while xraying his actions on the security she said Buhari government had woefully failed to secure the country as killings, kidnappings has become the order of the day in Nigeria.
On Bagudu’s stewardship Rukayya decried low-level infrastructure in Kebbi under governor Bagudu making particular reference to her hometown Yauri where she lamented poor roads network, poor education, and inadequate healthcare services, she urged Bagudu to improve security in Zuru emirate where people are being killed by armed bandits almost on daily basis.
She called on women to resist vote-buying during elections as they are the ones usually targeted by politicians, “if politicians insist collect the monies and vote the rights candidate from any party.
