This announcement was made in a statement signed by Malam Musa A. Yaโu, the Director of Private Schools, and distributed to the media.
Malam Yaโu emphasized that the Jigawa State Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology has established a committee tasked with visiting private schools across the state to collect annual registration fees. He urged school proprietors to ensure that all outstanding debts are settled before the teamโs arrival.
โPrivate schools operating without the necessary approvals must obtain them before our team visits,โ he stated. He further cautioned that any institution that begins junior or senior secondary sections without the proper upgrading process will face closure.
