The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, has dismissed circulating claims that Senator Oluremi Tinubu is planning a national prayer event.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Kukoyi addressed the misinformation spreading across conventional and social media, labeling it as false and misleading.

“Consequently, anyone who might have come across the purported news of the joint national prayer for Nigeria should disregard it as false,” she stated.

Kukoyi emphasized that while the First Lady, a devout Christian and advocate of prayer, supports praying for the nation, she believes it is a personal responsibility of every Nigerian, regardless of religious beliefs or political affiliations.

โ€œPraying for Nigeria is the responsibility of every Nigerian, irrespective of religious belief, political affiliation, tribe or tongue,โ€ she added.

Kukoyi urged the public to verify the authenticity of any information involving the First Lady through official channels.
