South Korean actor Song Jae-Rim, known for his role in the hit K-drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, has been found dead at his home in Seoul’s Seongdong district.
The 39-year-old actor was discovered on November 12, according to reports from local media outlet Soompi.

Authorities at the scene found a two-page letter, but the contents have not been disclosed. While the official cause of death is yet to be confirmed, there are speculations suggesting it may have been a suicide. However, investigators stated that there were “no signs of foul play” and have launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
Jae-Rim’s funeral is set to take place on November 14 at a funeral home in Yeouido, where family, friends, and fans are expected to gather and pay their respects.
Born on February 18, 1985, Song Jae-Rim began his career as a runway model, gracing numerous magazine covers before transitioning to acting in 2009. His breakthrough came in 2012 with the drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, which paved the way for roles in films like Give Me Back My Cat, Grand Prix, The Suspect, and On Your Wedding Day, as well as TV series including Unkind Ladies.
The sudden news of his passing has left fans and colleagues in shock, with many remembering the actor for his talent and dedication to the South Korean entertainment industry.
