The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the top five nominees in various categories for the upcoming 2024 awards.
The event is scheduled to take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.

Among the notable names is Nigeriaโs Ademola Lookman, shortlisted for the prestigious Menโs Player of the Year Award. Lookman, who plays for Atalanta, is joined in the category by Simon Adingra (Ivory Coast), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa).
In the Goalkeeper of the Year category, Nigeriaโs Stanley Nwabali, who plays for Chippa United, has been listed alongside Cameroonโs Andre Onana, Ivory Coastโs Yahia Fofana, Egyptโs Mostafa Shobeir, and South Africaโs Ronwen Williams.
Nigeria is also a contender for the National Team of the Year Award, vying against Ivory Coast, DR Congo, South Africa, and Sudan.
Other categories include Coach of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Club of the Year, featuring nominees from across the continent such as Al Ahly, Zamalek, and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The CAF Awards celebrate the best talents in African football, recognizing individual and team excellence in various aspects of the sport.
