The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Hadin Kai, has destroyed a terrorist food depot and neutralized several insurgents during airstrikes in Jubillaram, located in the Tumbuns area of the Lake Chad Basin.
This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, in Abuja.

According to Akinboyewa, the operation, conducted on November 23, targeted a strategic terrorist enclave identified through detailed intelligence gathering. “The location served as a critical food storage site and a haven for terrorist commanders and fighters,” he stated.
The terrorists were linked to recent attacks, including a November 16 assault on troops in Kareto. In response, NAF fighter jets carried out air interdiction missions, destroying the structures and neutralizing insurgents at the scene.
โMop-up operations using cannons ensured the complete elimination of fleeing hostile elements,โ Akinboyewa added.
He explained that the missionโs success was enabled by days of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which confirmed the location of terrorist structures concealed under dense vegetation.
โThe destruction of the terrorist enclave, including food storage facilities, has severely disrupted their logistical operations, while the neutralisation of a significant number of fighters has diminished their capacity to launch future attacks,โ he noted.
Akinboyewa affirmed the NAFโs commitment to counterterrorism efforts, stating that the mission showcased the Air Forceโs resolve to defend the nation independently and alongside ground forces.
He assured Nigerians that the NAF would sustain rigorous operations to bring all enemies of the countryโs peace and prosperity to justice.
