The Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area in Kano State, Abubakar Mu’azu Mojo, has sealed the office of the Local Government’s Director of Personnel Management (DPM), Alhaji Danjuma Zubair Babeji, over allegations of insubordination and negligence.
Mojo accused the DPM of repeatedly undermining his administration, leading to setbacks in the council’s operations, particularly due to the loss of critical documents.

This was revealed through a news broadcast on Premier Radio 102.7 FM Kano on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, and reported by Top Daily News.
“I will not tolerate such indiscipline and negligence of duty. I am here to serve the interests and needs of the entire people of Gwale LGA, and I am not afraid of anybody. The DPM must go,” Mojo stated.
The chairman revealed that he had officially lodged a complaint with the Kano State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, requesting the immediate replacement of the DPM. He also vowed to resign alongside councillors and advisers if his decision was not upheld.
“If the DPM does not leave, I will resign from my position,” he reiterated, adding that similar issues occurred when he previously served as Interim Management Committee Chairman of the LGA.
“This should be the last time. I swear I will not work with the DPM, and I have closed his office,” he emphasized.
Efforts to obtain a response from the DPM were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. Attempts to reach him for clarification will continue to ensure a balanced account of the matter.
