The secetary general of the Jama’atu Nasrul Islam, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu has stressed that Good governance is not about noise making, rather transformed into actions.

Aliyu reiterated that good governance and good leadership are penecea for socio-economic development in any country.

Fielding questions from Journalists at the Inaugural ceremony of NASFAT branch Executive councils kaduna on the topic: Effective leadership, Islamic perspective said, because Nigerian leadership is deficient of the requirements of good leadership that is why the country is faced with the numerous challenges, ranging from high level of poverty, insecurity among others.

“Good governance and good leadership are panacea for socio-economic development, and because our leadership, unfortunately, is deficient of the so many requirements of good governance”.

Good governance is not about noise making, too much talking. It is, but about seeing water, when you say you make provision of water in the budget, seeing medicines in the hospital when you say you make provision for that in the budget, seeing good road, and so on and so forth. It is not about been talking and talking, but been practical and that is what is called good governance” he pointed.

The Renounced Islamic cleric there for charge Nigerian leaders to be good fearing, feared they should discharge their responsibility which they took oath of office for because Allah will ask them on that day.

The 23 newly selected Branch Executive councils will see the affairs of the state Islamic society for the next three years, it was explained.
