The renown business mogul from Kano, Awwalu Abdullahi Rano, popularly known as A. A. Rano, is venturing into aviation business with five Aircrafts – Embraer 145 undergoing routine and final technical checks in Morocco, preparatory to their departure to Nigeria to commence domestic operations.

The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, in continuation of his visit to the Kingdom of Morocco to attend the 13th Edition of the Horses Festival, took time off to visit the Aircraft Hanger at the coastal city of Mohammedia to inspect the Aircrafts acquired by RANO AIR, owned by the Business mogul AA RANO.

During the visit, the Emir urged local Airlines to patronise African-based hangers so as to boost business and tourism across the African continent.

According to a Statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Kano Emirate Council, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, “His Highness expressed happiness to see the Aircrafts being beautifully branded and he also spared time to board one of the aircrafts and taking a seat in the cockpit.

“In a brief meeting with the Technical Team undertaking the maintenance works, His Highness expressed great delight with what he saw as another positive development in our Aviation Industry as more destinations will be covered.

“He congratulated the owner and prayed for the success of the new airline which will have its hub in Kano.

“His Highness also seized the opportunity of the occasion to call on our Airlines to patronize African based hangars as a way of promoting friendly business relations such as the ones he saw during the visit.

“He expressed happiness to also see Aircrafts from Air Peace and United Nigeria all undergoing routine maintenance checks at the Moroccan based hanger”.
