Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold Almoruf Kosoko, who is better known by his stage name Adekunle Gold, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government is to blame for the country’s problems.
This comes just a few days after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade lamented Nigerians’ plight.
However, the ‘It is what it is’ singer claimed that the Buhari administration had wasted eight years of Nigerians’ lives.
Adekunle Gold stated in a tweet that the country has been in decline since the Buhari administration took office in 2015.
“This current administration has squandered eight years of our lives. “We have regressed as a nation in the last eight years,” he wrote.
Adekunkle Gold revealed to his fans in 2022 that he was born with sickle cell disease, and that when he was 20, he begged God to take his life due to the unbearable crisis.
The singer is married to Nigeria’s top vocalist, Simisola, and they have a daughter.
