Charles Okpaleke, Play Network boss, has confirmed that his production studio is currently working on an exciting new gaming project with comic characters Aki and Pawpaw.
According to Okpaleke, the game titled ‘Aki and Pawpaw Epic Run’ will be available for Android and iOS users.
“We are happy to announce that in line with our exclusive exploitation rights to the brand ‘Aki & PawPaw’, we are at the final stages of the first ever Nollywood Game, Aki & Paw Paw Epic Run, powered by @playnetworkafr and @playnetworkstudios. Available to download soon by all iOS and Android users,” the filmmaker wrote on Instagram.
The new games will be developed by Blueportal Software and available for free. Confirming the collaboration, the company also announced via Instagram:

- Kenny Blaq to release first comedy Netflix November 17
“Blueportal software is pleased to announce that it has signed a mobile platform game development agreement with Playnetwork studios to develop the first of its kind video game based on the studio feature films, AKI and PAWPAW. The game will be free to play on iOS and android mobile devices.”
News of the latest feat comes amid plans to launch a remake of the Nollywood comedy classic in cinemas this December.
The Play Network and Filmone collaboration directed by Biodun Stephen, follows two mischievous brothers as they try to make a life for themselves after coincidentally falling into fame and riches through the help of social media. (Punch)
