Senate President Godswill Akpabio has approved the appointment of Chief Sylvester Okonkwo as his Chief of Staff and Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Chief Okonkwo, who until his appointment was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chinto Technologies Limited, an ICT and telecommunications outfit, is an indigene of Ojoto in Idemili South local government area, Anambra State.

He is a corporate lawyer, an alumni of the University of Nigeria, where he bagged a Bachelor Degree in Law (LL.B. Hons. B.L. ), and an astute politician of more than two decades.

He was a senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party in 2019 and attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Enyiekere was the deputy Director General of the Godswill Akpabio Senatorial Campaign Organization and also a two-term Executive Chairman of Ika LGA.

He was a former Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Government on Boundaries and Conflict Resolutions, a former Board Member of the Akwa Ibom State Road Maintenance Agency, and a former Senatorial Aspirant in the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

He is an indigene of Ika local government area, Akwa Ibom State, and an alumni of the University of Calabar.

He is a former Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Government on Boundaries and Conflict Resolutions, a former Board member of the Akwa Ibom State Road Maintenance Agency, a former student leader, and a former Senatorial aspirant in the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
