Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli is reportedly ready to activate Victor Osimhenโ€™s release clause to secure a summer transfer from Napoli.

Osimhen, who has attracted interest from several top European teams, is set to leave Napoli, but the Italian club will only sell if his โ‚ฌ120 million (ยฃ101m/$129m) release clause is met.

Despite interest from Paris-Saint Germain and Chelsea, Napoli’s high asking price has deterred them. However, Al-Ahli appears determined, with reports suggesting they are prepared to meet the release clause.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X that Al-Ahli had made an initial bid exceeding โ‚ฌ65 million, though no agreement has been reached yet.

Romano stated: โ€œAl Ahli have submitted initial bid to Napoli for Victor Osimhen for package in excess of โ‚ฌ65m. Napoli are prepared to let him go but NO agreement between Nigerian striker and Al Ahli so far. Deal still far on player side, Osimhen will consider options + not open to loan.โ€

Osimhen enjoyed a standout season with Napoli in 2022-23, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 32 appearances, contributing to their Serie A title win. However, his form has dipped this season, and tensions with Napoliโ€™s management have increased the likelihood of his departure.
