Despite interest from Paris-Saint Germain and Chelsea, Napoli’s high asking price has deterred them. However, Al-Ahli appears determined, with reports suggesting they are prepared to meet the release clause.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X that Al-Ahli had made an initial bid exceeding โฌ65 million, though no agreement has been reached yet.
Romano stated: โAl Ahli have submitted initial bid to Napoli for Victor Osimhen for package in excess of โฌ65m. Napoli are prepared to let him go but NO agreement between Nigerian striker and Al Ahli so far. Deal still far on player side, Osimhen will consider options + not open to loan.โ
Osimhen enjoyed a standout season with Napoli in 2022-23, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 32 appearances, contributing to their Serie A title win. However, his form has dipped this season, and tensions with Napoliโs management have increased the likelihood of his departure.
