Cristiano Ronaldo got off to a winning start in Saudi Arabia, helping Al-Nassr to a 1-0 victory over Ettifaq.
The 37-year-old signed for the Saudi giants earlier this month, but has been forced to sit out due to a two-game ban imposed by the English FA. But after his suspension, he was able to play again and helped his new team win by a narrow margin.
Anderson Talisca, who was the star of the show throughout the game, scored the game-winning header in the first half. Overall, Ronaldo’s first game went well, and he seemed much happier as the game went on.
In contrast to his final days at Manchester United, he was content to encourage rather than criticize when things did not go as planned.
Al-Nassr and Ronaldo now have four days to prepare for Thursday night’s clash with Al-Ittihad.
