Why Sharada Defected From Ruling APC
Sharada, a politician known for his doggedness had crossed several political hurdles and opposition within the APC to win the House of Reps ticket of the ruling party in 2019 and later won in the general election with a wide margin.
While in APC, Sharada, who is the chairman of House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, still contested for gubernatorial candidacy in the party’s primaries but lost to the deputy governor of the state, Nasiru Gawuna.
Sharada had also been a member of the popular G-7, a faction of the APC in Kano that was led by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.
