Few days before the state Congress of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said, “We are ready for the state Congress coming up on the 16th of October.”
He disclosed the instance of the State Executive Council meeting, before its commencement, held at Africa House, Government House, Kano, Tuesday.
“The Ward Congresses took place. The local government congresses followed that. After the inauguration of the Wards party leadership, we are now waiting for the inauguration of the local government leaders who were elected a few weeks back,” he explained.

“We are getting ready for the state congress. We are making all the necessary preparations for the state congress,” he said.
Meanwhile, he directed all Commissioners and Advisers to attend the Independence Day Parade on Friday, 1st October.
“Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, is leading the Committee for Independence Day celebration.
I am also directing all Commissioners and Advisers to be there on Friday, during the Independence Day parade,” he directed.
