Enovatelab Innovation and Impact Foundation has announced the launch of Shenovate. A program purposely designed for women in business and those seeking careers in technology to learn digital skills.

The initiative is focused on empowering girls and women between the ages of 18 and 25 to develop digital and business skills and help them advance their growth by supporting their careers through mentorship and funding.

The Foundation which genesis started in 2018 has been a key stakeholder in the entrepreneurship and technology ecosystem Nigeria and across Africa.

As the world continues to evolve, there is more need to equip women with tools and resources to achieve their goals.

The decline in employment opportunities coupled with harsh economic conditions has certainly taking a toll on their abilities to compete.

Enovatelab believes that with the right knowledge women can take charge of their lives and shape their careers. Shenovate is a direct response such that it is designed to ensure that beneficiaries are able to either grow their business or excel in their chosen career.

Shenovate targets women from underserved communities, broken homes and disadvantaged backgrounds, arms them with the necessary tools and resources they need to compete with their counterparts across the country.

The program will support 60 ladies from all the 6 geo-political zones across Nigeria, for the period of 3 months. “We plan to take 30 ladies under the business track and 30 under the digital skills track”, says Ahmed Idris the Executive Director.

At the end of the program, EnovateLab Innovation and Impact Foundation will provide technical support to the 30 startups in the program through product design, development, growth and expansion as well as in technology integration.

The Foundation will partner to create linkages with community-based organizations for ease of mobilization of target program participants. The beneficiaries of the digital skills training will be prepped on interview strategies and will also be linked to job opportunities through our network of business partners and startup community.

The official launch date for Shenovate program is June 6th while application closes on the June 19th, 2022. Interested participants can apply using the link provided below.
