Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited says it is looking to engage suitably qualified candidates as graduate trainees.
NLNG is a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-producing company and an LNG plant on Bonny Island, Nigeria.
The job requirements for all candidates include a university bachelor’s degree obtained at the second class upper division (2:1) and above — in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electrical/electronics, instrumentation, metallurgical, chemical, civil, petrochemical, process, environmental, computer, water resources, power plant, industrial, mechatronics, petroleum, systems).
Other disciplines include sciences, social and management sciences; law; project management; information management; arts and humanities as well as shipping and marine studies.
NLNG said candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) not earlier than 2017.
Furthermore, the company asked applicants to only attach mandatory documents to their applications, adding that attachments must be in portable document format (PDF).
The required documents include an NYSC completion or exemption certificate; a university degree certificate; a government-issued birth certificate; secondary education certificate and a primary education certificate.
“Applications must be completed online and should not be duplicated. Anyone who submits more than one application will be disqualified,” NLNG said.
“Please review and ensure accuracy and completeness of all information provided on your application form before you submit. Any false information provided during or after the application process will lead to outright disqualification.
“For the best user experience, please make use of laptops and desktops, not mobile phones.”
The company said eligible females and people with disabilities (PWDs) are encouraged to apply.
Candidates who require reasonable adjustment during the recruitment — by reason of disability — were directed to inform the company.
A reasonable adjustment is a change that must be made to remove or reduce a disadvantage related to a job applicant’s disability as well as an employee’s disability when doing their job.
After submitting an application on the NLNG portal, candidates who fall in the category are to send an email titled “reasonable adjustment” to [email protected].
According to NLNG, the application is free of charge and agents are not assigned to assist applicants in processing applications.
The application window opened on November 1, 2022, and would close on November 22.
“Only successful candidates at each stage of the exercise will be contacted,” the company said.
“Only applications completed via the NLNG job portal are valid.
“To avoid exposure to dubious/fraudulent websites/links, kindly apply only via www.nigerialng.com.”
