The Minister of Police Affairs Muhammad Dingyadi says that the arrest of Tukur Mamu, former negotiator for the release captives of March 28 train attack by bandits, will not stall negotiations for the release of the remaining victims.
The minister was responding to questions by newsmen on Thursday in Abuja on the fate of the victims of Kaduna train attack that are still in captivity.
The Minister then assured that there are other negotiators involved in the negotiations with kidnappers.
He said “the arrest of the Terrorists Negotiator, Tukur Mamu’s will not stop negotiations as there are other bodies negotiating to ensure safe release of the victims”.
Also speaking on that, Ogbeni Aregbesola said investigations were still going on and that the abductors will face the wrath of the law in due course.
He maintained that efforts are ongoing to have all Nigerians in captivity either by kidnappers or bandits to release them.
“We are not sparing efforts to release our brothers and sisters who are in captivity,” he stated.
