Bayo Onanuga, the spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, has revealed how a convoy of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer Atiku Abubakar nearly killed him.

Onanuga revealed that a vehicle in Atiku’s convoy nearly killed him on Sunday evening on the Shehu Shagari expressway in Abuja.

He stated that the incident occurred around 9 p.m. as he was returning home from a visit with Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi.

According to Onanuga, the vehicle in Atiku’s convoy slammed into his car, damaged his side mirror, and dented and scratched the two doors in its path.

He bemoaned the fact that the vehicle reversed and joined the convoy without hesitation.

“I had a close shave with death on Sunday night in Abuja as I was returning home at about 9 p.m. after a visit to Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi,” Onanuga said in a statement. I was driving on Shehu Shagari Way’s last lane when I noticed a convoy emerge from one of the feeder roads.

“My slowing down proved to be a mistake as a Toyota SUV emerged from the same road where the convoy had previously emerged.” It drove right up to my car. I was terrified as the driver slammed into the passenger side of my Toyota Camry.

“The convoy drove deep into Asokoro, down TY Danjuma Road, and into one of the mansions.”

“I led the convoy into the compound.” My adventure was becoming increasingly interesting. Inside the Atiku-Okowa den, I am an APC and Tinubu campaigner.”

Atiku is one of the front-runners for the presidency in 2023.
