Barring last-minute change, CP Balarabe Sule, a former Chief Security Officer to governor of Kano State Abdullahi Ganduje, will be posted to Kano as commissioner of police.

He will replace Mohammed Yakubu, who was posted to the state barely two weeks ago.

Police insiders confirmed to DAILY NIGERIAN that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, has ordered the posting of the police officer to the state.


Credible sources say that Mr Sule would be posted to Kano State alongside ACP Abubakar Shika and ACP Adamu Babayo.


Mr Sule, who was recently promoted to the rank of police commissioner and posted to Cross River State, was a deputy commissioner of police in charge of Operations in Kano for many years.

The force secretary, DIG Hafiz Inuwa, who camped in Kano to supervise election in seven North West states may be asked to move his base to Zamfara.
