Suspected bandits on Friday night abducted six people, including a police officer’s wife, when they invaded the Wusasa community in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A source who did not want his name mentioned told DAILY POST in Kaduna that the bandits, who struck around 10:30 pm, went from house to house without being challenged.
He said the bandits kidnapped the policeman’s wife, his daughters, and four others.

He further disclosed that the local security agents, Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KadVS), which responded to victims’ relatives’ calls, could not do anything positive as bandits had disappeared with their victims.
He added that as the local security arrived and engaged the bandits in a gun duel, the bandits ran away with the victims.
ASP Mohammed Jalige, Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, did not respond to text messages and calls put across to him.
