Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, reportedly left Nigeria just days after his release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a video shared online, Bobrisky appeared on a plane, showing a screen that hinted at his international destination. During the video, he mentioned, “See you soon, Nigeria. This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl.”

He also shared an image of his passport, adding, “That passport disfigured my picture.”

Bobrisky’s departure follows a series of legal challenges. His troubles with the EFCC began in April 2024, when he received a six-month sentence over naira abuse. However, he reportedly spent only three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before a quiet transfer was arranged.

Tensions rose in September after social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared an audio clip allegedly featuring Bobrisky discussing a bribe to EFCC officials in a bid to dismiss money laundering allegations.

Just last Thursday, Bobrisky was prevented from boarding a KLM flight from Murtala Muhammed International Airport en route to London. However, he has since managed to leave the country, sparking public curiosity about his next move amid ongoing controversies.
