The All Progressives Congress Chapter in Municipal Local Government Area (Sharada Ward) of Kano State on Wednesday suspended a House of Reps member, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada for the period of twelve months.
Sha’aban was suspended over alleged disrespect on Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The APC alleged that Sharada has completely been banned from intruding into party affairs at the ward level.
A letter signed by APC Sharada Ward Chairman, Abdullahi Umar, obtained by Daily News 24 said: “…a seven-man disciplinary committee was set up and days were given an ultimatum to bring forth to the party a report and possible decision to be taken by the party” after receiving a petition on June 8th, 2021.
The Letter further stated that “Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada has been found guilty of the charges against him for the assassinating the character of His Excellency the Governor of Kano as well as the respective party executive from the ward, Local Government and State Level”.
The member is also banned from relating with members of the party for the period of one year.
“That he will not interfere in all party affairs and activities at all levels,” the statement said.
The APC has been receiving complaints following series of meetings held to substantiate claims against the embattled House of Representatives member.
Recall that Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada has been at loggerheads with numerous top party members after he allegedly accused them of refusal to register him at the ward level in order to truncate his future ambition.
Among those he is fighting politically are the State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, Commissioner for Special Duties, Ishaq Yakasai, and the state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Sharada accuses Ganduje of a plot to destabilize party
In February, 2021, The Member Representing Kano Municipal in the House of Representatives Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada has accused the leadership of All Progressives Congress in the state of refusing to allow him to revalidate his membership of the party.
Sharada made the statement while addressing newsmen when he visited Government Secondary School Salanta, Sharada to revalidate his membership of the All Progressives Congress but didn’t find any member of the committee at the venue.
Accompanied by a mammoth crowd of supporters and party stakeholders from Kano Municipal Constituency, Sharada accused State Governor Ganduje as the one behind his ordeal in the party.
“They know I’m coming but they left the venue on the instruction from above but whatever, I will continue to be loyal to APC and my mentor President Buhari.
“They are doing all these because I aligned myself with Buhari but they will fail in the soonest.
“I’m a loyal party man, as a member of the House of Representatives, I’m a stakeholder of my party; I don’t see any reason for instructing the revalidation committee members in my ward to leave just because I’m coming to participate in the exercise. I don’t deserve that.” He said.
