The Chairman, Committee on Local Government and Rural Development, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Rilwanu Aminu Gadagau, has been reportedly killed by bandits.
Gadagau represents Giwa west constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
He was attacked by the bandits along the Zaria- Kaduna highway leading to his death.

Clerk, Kaduna State house of Assembly confirmed this via phone call in the state.
Family sources told 21st Century Chronicle that Gadagau was among the dozens of people abducted on Sunday along Zaria-Kaduna highway.
The online newspaper reports that bandits blocked the highway Sunday night, opened fire on travellers, killing one instantly and taken away dozen others to the forest.
The lawmaker, was believed to be among those abducted that night.
”But his body was found today (Wednesday) morning in the forest not too far away from the scene of the incident,” a security source told this 21 Century Chronicle.
It is not clear why he was killed, but security sources are hinting that the lawmaker might have resisted the kidnappers who eventually shot him dead.
Gadagau was vice Chairman in Giwa local government before his election into the House of Assembly in 2019.
