The former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently leading the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary elections as vote counting continue.

As of press time, our correspondent monitoring the event, reports that Tinubu has garnered over 1,000 votes while the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi followed with 217 votes

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may come third as he currently has 155 votes.

Voting ends at APC convention, sorting commence

Recall that about seven aspirants including the Governor of Ekiti State, who doubles as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Kayode Fayemi stepped down for the Asiwaju of Lagos.

The APC convention which is taking place at the Eagles Square in Abuja is expected to produce a candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
