Nigerian singer and Grammy Award winner Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has taken a jab at fellow artist David Adeleke, also known as Davido, amid Davido’s ongoing legal issues.
The comments from Burna Boy were prompted by a social media user suggesting he should consider marriage, referencing Davido’s current custody battle with his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu. Two weeks ago, Davido married his longtime girlfriend, Chioma, in a grand ceremony in Lagos.

On Friday night, Davido publicly criticized Sophia for mentioning the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi, in her counter-lawsuit. Ifeanyi tragically drowned in a swimming pool accident at Davido’s Lagos residence.
Davido expressed his frustration on X, stating, “You are constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point you can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us every day of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her. As for now, u can have her. P.S she won’t be a child forever. Enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!”
Following this outburst, fellow artist Dammy Krane mocked Davido, suggesting he now understands the pain felt by the mother of his late friend Tagbo, whom Davido was previously accused of contributing to his death. Dammy Krane wrote on X, “i’m boldly saying @davido has hand in Tagbo’s death. If im lying they should sue me, make everything cast for court. I ready help am spread all hin dirty linen for public.”
Burna Boy then intervened, advising Dammy Krane to take down his posts about Davido. Burna Boy himself commented, “‘Odogwu too wise’ who no hear go feel.”
In the comments section, a user encouraged Burna Boy to consider marriage, using Davido as an example. The user wrote, “Burna Boy, you should start planning for your future by getting married and starting a family. OBO has already set an example. You’re over 33 now, and you need to understand that you’re not getting any younger.”
Burna Boy responded, “Baba make I just dey as I dey abeg, u nor see wetin him dey face like dis?”
Another user criticized Burna Boy’s response, to which he replied, “Ok. But between me and you, Shey na betta example the guy use?”
When another user asked if Adekunle Gold was a better example, Burna Boy expressed his admiration for Adekunle Gold and his wife, Simi. “Ehen! Na wetin we dey pray for be that bros,” he replied.
