Carney Chukwuemeka, a midfielder for the England U21 team, has been signed by Chelsea after reaching an agreement with Premier League club Aston Villa.
Chukwuemeka, a standout for England’s U-21 squad, made his first-team debut at the conclusion of the 2020–21 campaign and went on to play 19 games for Steven Gerrard’s club.

He appeared in 11 Premier League games for Aston Villa last season, and the Blues are reportedly paying an initial £15 million for the young player.
“Aston Villa and Chelsea can confirm that the clubs have achieved an agreement for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka,” read a statement from Chelsea.
The 18-year-old has been given permission to fly to London to do personal business and receive medical attention.
