Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided the most recent injury update on N’Golo Kante ahead of his team’s Premier League match against Leicester City.
Tuchel stated that Kante’s injury would take more than four weeks to heal.
Kante suffered a hamstring injury in his team’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League a few weeks ago.
The France international started the match at Stamford Bridge, putting on a magnificent display in a tense encounter before colliding with Yves Bissouma seven minutes from time.
Providing the latest update on Kante, Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “We are talking about four weeks plus. I told you at the end of last season he is our key player normally.
“He gives something to our team that no other player in the world can give to any other team. That makes him a key player. If your key player is out, it’s a situation you don’t like but have to deal with. It has a huge influence.”
