He said, “Increase your benevolent acts, be generous with whatever you have, give out more and increase your charity.

“Increase your Da’wah activities, this is an act of getting yourself involved in preaching or listening to Ramadan lectures organized in your community, it will increase your knowledge of Islamic deeds and injunctions.

“Every Muslim is enjoined to be reciting the Qur’an more than ever before during the period, those who cannot recite it are enjoined to use the period to start learning how to read it.

“Maintaining and sustaining your piousness even after the Ramadan is the ultimate reason for fasting and its activities, refrain from evil vices and uphold at all times good deeds to your fellow human beings without discrimination,’’ he added.

In his remarks, the Kaduna main branch Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ajao said the Mission and Vision Statement of NASFAT is, ‘Be a Pacesetting Islamic organization with Widespread acceptance’ and, ‘ To Develop an enlightened Society Nurtured By True Understanding of Islam For The Spiritual Upliftment And Welfare Of Mankind’

Represented by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Adeniji, however, noted that this cannot be totally achieved without strategic and conscious approach for the society expansion through the creation of more branches, hence, the need for the Inauguration of NASFAT Kaduna Group 1.

He said, Today, NASFAT has created more 340 branches in Nigeria and across the Nigerian boarders, like USA, Canada UK and other African countries among others.

If NASFAT needs to grow and spread the beauty of Islam, we should be ready to expand and take Islam through NASFAT activities to the doors of our members, friends, colleagues that are interested in the activities of NASFAT. And this would also help to further promote the Visio NASFAT leadership on HELD agenda.

Meanwhile some of the challenges identified through some interactions with stakeholders are as follows: Dwindling Population of Members, Low Membership Quality and Inconsistent Punctuality of Members,

“We strongly believe that some of the challenges are caused by the current economic and social problems in the country, and these challenges could be addressed by the taking NASFAT to our doorsteps.

“Therefore, the followings have been identified as advantages or merits for the creation of more groups that would transmit into the full branches: Ease of Membership drive, More recognition by Government and Community Leaders, More Visibility of NASFAT among others”

In his inaugural address, representative of the National Executive Council, NASFAT, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf urged the new Group leaders to ensure that the actions are in conjunction with Islamic teaching and NASFAT Mission statement.
