Residents of Kawo road in Tudun Nupawa ward, under Kaduna South local government area, have appealed to the government at all levels in the state to come to their rescue over their bridge which collapsed recently.
The Bridge is said to be the only link for many residents living in the area.
Speaking to Daily News24, a resident who does not want his name mentioned said, “this is not the first time this bridge is collapsing. As you can see, we did a makeshift bridge, which we use planks to cover so that we in the area and others can pass through freely.

This is the third time we are using planks, but this time around, it collapsed. We see that planks are not the solution; instead, get a concrete one”.
Another resident said, “we have many elderly people in the area. Whenever we want to cross over to the other side, we have to crawl like a baby for fear of not falling into the bridge. So we are pleading with whoever is in charge to come to our aid.”
